[Working group 2 "Urban and neighbourhood development"](https://www.plattform-bauen-und-wohnen.de/en/project/working-group-2-urban-and-neighbourhood-development/) Fields of action ------------------ The working group has defined three fields of action, which will be analysed in greater depth: 1. **Resource activation: Land, living space, stakeholders, residents and neighbourhood:** This field adresses how urban planning and land policy instruments can be used to activate land resources. It also aims to demonstrate how municipalities can assume a leading role in the inner-city development, and plan and develop these areas in cooperation with other actors. 2. **Integrated planning:** This field of action examines how organisational and cooperative approaches can be strengthened to support integrated planning among stakeholders. The focus is on inter-municipal and cross-departmental collaboration, as well as the qualification of those involved. Furthermore, ecological and climate-related aspects are considered. 3. **Funding for housing and energy-efficient renovation:** This area explores the socially equitable and climate-effective further development of the existing housing stock. It also discusses the social and financial framework conditions required for the consistent promotion of affordable housing.
