    General information
---------------------

SInBa is a research and implementation project that looks at how social innovations can help to achieve climate and sustainability goals in construction, housing, and urban development. It analyses and tests different social innovations in two cities – Mannheim and Wuppertal – and helps them move from being niche ideas to something more widespread.

 ### Research questions

 - Which activation and supporting structures can help to meet the demand for climate-neutral, space-efficient and needs-based housing in Mannheim?
- What support and activation measures are needed to ensure that municipal heat planning in Mannheim can be implemented (quickly), taking into account the different interests of stakeholders?

    Cooperation
-------------

 ### Type of co-creation

The entire process is designed collaboratively. From start to finish, creative and participatory methods are used to establish a common understanding and take action. A core team consisting of individuals with extensive experience and specific expertise drives to process by providing appropriate and creative support and guidance.

  ### Society involvement

Organised civil society and/or local society exchange ideas with the project managers. The decision-making power lies with the scientists.
