 Zukunft Bau tested a new format for the first time in 2022, building bridges between the latest scientific findings, their translation into practical building applications and their communication to a broad audience. Focusing on the goal of a climate-neutral building stock in 2045, the aim was to generate and demonstrate innovative approaches for the construction of the future - under the motto ‘Save Material - Save the Planet’ .

 The entire process is designed collaboratively. From start to finish, creative and participatory methods are used to establish a common understanding and take action.  With the Pop-up Campus, it was possible to create a place for joint reflection on the construction turnaround. This has created a pilot project for the introduction of real-world laboratories in the construction industry, which has hardly existed to date and can set an example for others.
