What ideas do you have for making affordable and liveable housing possible?
Objectives such as affordability, sustainability, and high quality of life are often in conflict with one another. A win-win-win solution is rarely possible. Resolving this conflict of objectives requires careful consideration; none of the factors should be considered in isolation or optimized at the cost of the others. In addition, creative solutions are needed that balance these three objectives in such a way that affordable, sustainable, and livable housing is achieved.
What would you like to see for life in cities in the future?
People should feel comfortable in urban areas and be able to afford an adequate quality of life. This requires the removal of unnecessary regulations and a housing policy that promotes social equality. In addition, residents should be able to participate continuously in the planning and design of their neighbourhoods.
What outcome would you like to see from the “Building & Living” project?
Above all, I would like to see creative, science-based and practical ideas: what can and must the stakeholders involved do together to further advance the goal of affordable, sustainable and liveable housing?
