How can living labs contribute to creating affordable housing in urban areas? The platform “Building & Living” by acatech, in collaboration with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), will present a new mapping tool. An interactive map showcases living labs and selected innovative best practice examples in Germany.
Webinar agenda:
- Welcome and introduction of the project by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jan Wörner, acatech President and scientific project lead of the “Building & Living” platform
- A welcome address by Dr. Martin Schulte, advisor at the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR)
- In-depth presentation of the mapping tool by Prof. Dr. Daniel Lang from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and Stefanie Bucher, Head Office “Building & Living”
A living lab serves as transdisciplinary research setting for the collaborative exploration of questions at the intersection of science and society. The mapping offers insights into ongoing and completed projects, stakeholder constellations, community involvement and type of funding - so that users can benefit from knowledge and experience for their own projects. The webinar also explains the data behind the tool, how it can be used and what relevance it can have for the creation of affordable housing.
The webinar is especially aimed at
- Public administration representatives at all political levels,
- Practitioners from the business sector,
- Representatives of civil society,
- Scientists,
who are involved in living labs.
We look forward to your participation!
